Holme Roberts & Owen’s Robyn Nordin Stowell Lands BoardRoom Magazine's 2009 Educator of the Year Award

11/18/2009

Scottsdale, Arizona, November 18, 2009 -- Robyn Nordin Stowell, a partner in Holme Roberts & Owen LLP’s Scottsdale office and head of the firm’s Golf Course, Resort, and Community Development team, won BoardRoom magazine’s 2009 Excellence in Achievement Award for Educator of the Year.

Each year the magazine, the Association of Private Club Directors’ official publication, recognizes distinguished private club industry leaders who have served the industry in exceptional ways. An independent panel of industry experts selects winners for overall excellence in their respective fields, achievements, innovation, and vision, as well as their positive impact on private club operations and the club industry.

The panel chose Ms. Stowell in part because of her outstanding contribution to educating golf and club industry professionals. She speaks nationally at industry-related seminars on legal issues critical to today’s changing economic climate, contributes to books and resource materials the industry utilizes, and authors a regular column that addresses current issues impacting clubs and golf courses.

Ms. Stowell is well known throughout the U.S. for her in-depth legal knowledge and unique and extensive legal experience in golf course and private club matters, including golf and club asset purchase, sale, and financing, and turnovers from developers or owners to members. She has counseled a wide range of clients, including private clubs, developers, and member groups on day-to-day business concerns.

The Excellence in Achievement Awards ceremony was held at Boca West Country Club in Boca Raton, Florida.
