Lawyers and Practice Groups across California, Colorado, and Utah Praised
Denver, Colorado - June 12, 2009 - Holme Roberts & Owen LLP (HRO) continues to grow its reputation as one of the nation’s leading law firms, following the publication of Chambers USA’s 2009 Guide to the Legal Profession. In the newly released rankings, 18 HRO lawyers from across the country have been singled out for praise and recognized as “Leaders in their Field,” with HRO receiving “Top Ranking” for six areas of practice in California, Colorado, and Utah.
Chambers USA is a directory of the country’s most widely recommended law firms and lawyers. The significant level of recognition awarded to HRO is particularly pleasing to HRO Managing Partner, Ken Lund.

In the 2009 guide, HRO’s Corporate/M&A practice is described as “having established a niche in this area.” The directory gives top ranking to lawyers W. Dean Salter, described as “highly respected for his general corporate law, corporate governance and securities work,” Garth B. Jensen, “known for his skillful work for public listed companies on M&A and other transactional work,” Stuart A. Fredman, who “sorts out the issues well in advance, so things run smoothly at crunch time,” Thomas R. Taylor for his “focus on M&A, banking and lending work,” and Hendrik F. Jordaan, who is “making a name for himself.”
The firm’s Litigation practice is described as enjoying “a strong reputation for bet-the-company litigation," with partners Blaine J. Benard who “has a broad litigation practice,” George M. Finally, HRO’s Media & Entertainment group draws acclaim for being "easy to work with and having quick reaction times," with partners Rachel Matteo-Boehm, who “knows all the nuances and understands what and why they are important," and the "determined and committed," Roger R. Myers given top rankings.
Published annually, Chambers USA’s rankings are based on thousands of in-depth interviews conducted by a team of more than 50 full-time researchers.
