Experience

Kenneth W. Lund is the firmwide Managing Partner of Holme Roberts & Owen and oversees the firm’s legal practices and implementation of the firm’s strategic plan across ten offices, domestically and in Europe. He works closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Chair of the Executive Committee, and with the directors of the Marketing, Business Development, Recruiting and Training departments. Ken serves on the Diversity Committee, is the Marketing Partner, and an ex officio member of the Executive Committee.

Under Ken’s leadership, ColoradoBiz magazine named Holme Roberts & Owen the 2009 Top Colorado Company in the legal category for sustained financial excellence, community involvement and operational excellence.
 
During Ken’s 11 years as Managing Partner, he has taken a lead role in building and supporting the firm’s growth, including opening new offices in Munich, Dublin, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Phoenix. As the firm’s Marketing Partner, he has primary responsibility for the articulation, development and implementation of the firms’ client service and engagement strategy, and spearheaded development of the firm’s integrated marketing and brand campaign, “Experience Listens. Be Heard.”
 
Ken currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Metro Denver Sports Commission, Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation and Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, where he is Secretary. From 2000 to 2004, he served on the Board of Directors of the Mile High Chapter of the American Red Cross and previously was on the Dean’s Diversity Council (joint effort of University of Colorado and University of Denver Law Schools). Ken has also been active with the Transportation Lawyers Association, Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, and American Bar Association.
 
Ken is a trial lawyer who regularly consults with general counsel and business leaders on key strategy development, business solutions and corporate protection. As a respected authority in his field, Ken speaks frequently on law firm management, strategic marketing and business development, recruiting and diversity retention, as well as emerging legal industry trends. 
 
He has a B.A. from the University of Arizona and received his J.D. from the University of Denver in 1988.
