Jill J. Chalmers is a partner in the Colorado Springs office.  Jill is the Chair of HRO’s trademark practice group and she offers her expertise to organizations and individuals regarding the protection and management of their intellectual property assets.  Her practice in the intellectual property area focuses on trademarks, trade dress, copyrights and transactional issues relating to intellectual property.

Jill offers full trademark and brand protection services to include assisting clients with trademark selection, actively clearing trademarks upon adoption, protecting trademarks by means of federal and foreign registration, developing and implementing effective and appropriate trademark enforcement strategies and assisting clients with exploiting and maximizing the value of their brands through licensing and sponsorship programs. She routinely represents clients with US and international trademark portfolios and actively manages and protects these valuable client assets.  In addition, Jill has expertise in non-traditional marks including protecting trade dress as a trademark, and even protecting certification or collective membership marks.  Jill’s broad based intellectual property expertise also involves assisting with disputes concerning intellectual property on the Internet and relating to domain names, conducting intellectual property audits, drafting policies and guidelines relating to use and protection of intellectual property assets, counseling organizations on copyright and trademark issues, as well as advising on infringement-related issues.
