Nicole Gomes, an associate in the Litigation Practice Group, joined HRO’s Los Angeles office in 2008. Ms. Gomes’ practice focuses on employment-related litigation. Her experience includes defense of single-plaintiff lawsuits involving allegations of sexual harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, and retaliation. She assists employers with reductions in workforce and employer compliance with the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) and state mini-WARN Acts. She also responds to administrative charges such as EEOC charges, prepares severance agreements, defends against Cal/OSHA violations, and counsels clients in connection with USERRA rights, California Domestic Partner Rights, Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs), employee exemption status, and employee healthcare benefits.
Prior to joining HRO, Ms. Gomes was an associate at Buchalter Nemer.
